South Public School

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Like its sister school, North Public School, to the north, South Public School is also a defunct elementary school in Simcoe, Ontario, Canada and was also a feeder school to Elgin Avenue Public School and Simcoe Composite School. This school was attended by children who lived in the southern residential neighborhoods of Simcoe and was considered to be walking distance to the Norfolk County Fair and Horse Show. Former Ontario premier Mike Harris forced the school to be closed due to cutbacks in education spending.
