South Pine River
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
South Pine River flows from Eatons Hill, north-west of Brisbane City, to its convergence with North Pine River at Lawnton, Queensland Australia.
[edit] Geographical characteristics
From the foothills, South Pine River divides the Pine Rivers Shire suburbs of Eatons Hill and Brendale to the north and Albany Creek to the south. Meeting with Albany Creek in that suburb, it carries the city council boundary between Pine Rivers Shire and Brisbane City Council down to its convergence with North Pine River at Lawnton to form Pine River.
To the north-west of South Pine River are Pine Rivers suburbs of Strathpine and Lawnton, while on the south-east are Brisbane City Council suburbs Bridgeman Downs and Bald Hills.
It is from South Pine, North Pine and Pine rivers from which Pine Rivers Shire is named.
