The South Pennar River, also known as Dakshina Pinakini in Kannada is a distributary of the Kaveri and flows through the districts of Bangalore Rural and Bangalore Urban in the Indian state of Karnataka. The river originates in Nandi Hills in the district of Kolar and has a catchment area of 1,424 mi2.
