South Miami Senior High School is a secondary school located at 6856 S.W. 53rd Street in South Miami, Florida; its principal is Gilberto Bonce.

The school is about a mile and a half west of the University of Miami. It contains a magnet program, officially named the Celia Cruz School of the Arts, which offers programs in seven strands: Media Production, Computer Graphics, Music, Photography, Commercial Arts, Dance, and Drama. As the alma mater says, the "hope and pride" of South Miami Senior opened its doors to students for the first time on November 10, 1971. The original student body selected the Cobra mascot and the school colors of orange, brown, and white, the team colors of the NFL Cleveland Browns. Not long ago the Cobra mascot that reigned from its third story roof, fell due to the winds of a 2005 hurricane, once standing, it greeted all who passed by "Cobra Country" on Miller Road. As of Spring Break 2007 (early April) while students were out for a one week vacation a new Cobra mascot was placed on the third story roof were the fallen cobra once reigned.

South Miami's Athletic Rival is Coral Gables Senior High and Southwest Miami Senior High.
