South High School is a high school located at 1101 Planz Road in Bakersfield, California. It was founded in 1957. The school mascot is known as the Rebel Man or Johnny Rebel and is patterned after a Confederate Soldier. Sports teams are referred to as the Rebels. There are approximately 2150 students.
