South Atlantic Current

South Atlantic Current is a name used of the Atlantic northern parts of the West Wind Drift. The eastward current is fed by the Brazil Current; that fraction of it which reaches the African coast feeds the Benguela Current.
The sea-faring is usually easier and thus safer in area of the South Atlantic Current than in the West Wind Drift, though also slower.
