Soul Survivor is the solo debut from Hip Hop producer/rapper Pete Rock, formerly of the acclaimed duo Pete Rock & CL Smooth. Pete and CL broke up in 1995, following the release of their second full-length album The Main Ingredient. Pete contributes all the production on the release, as well as a number of verses, but leaves the majority of the rapping to his guests.
