The young woman is notable becasue she is in the news and has been on and off for 2 years. She has national notorioty if not fame and her current misfortune is likely to keep her there for some time. Albatross2147 03:32, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

Notable for that. Are you kidding? How many people do you hear going through ordeals like that? She is the strongest and most resilient person I have ever heard of. Master Vinaki03:42,6 May 2006

I'm not what you'd call a religous person but I am praying for this little girl. My heart goes out to her and her family. Such a brave little girl.. Waverley73 05:02, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

The crossing on which she was hit by a car is actually outside Seaforth Primary School, whereas Sophie attends Balgowlah Heights Primary School.

[edit] Sophie and Mary McKillop

Now that she's had the second accident and is hopefully getting better from that, the Sydney Morning Herald's suggestion that Mary McKillop intervened is stronger than ever. Do you think she will be canonised for Sophie and whatever else gets evidentiary play? --Bronwyn Gannan 00:03, 10 May 2006 (UTC).

There was a story about her plight tonight on 60 Minutes. Just reminds you how unlucky she's been.

[edit] Why was the 80 year old charged

Its called a pedestrian crossing, she was in a wheel chair. If I was the laywer, I would of pushed that technicallity.--HamedogTalk|@ 12:36, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Stop reverting my post!

Its not spam! Its entirely relevant to the article! 165.228.129.11 08:56, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

  • It's probably not meant to be spam and posted for the best of intentions but Wp is not meant to predict or advertise what may happen. If something relevant is revealed on the program then it should and probably will be included here. At the very worst there will be an external link to the ABC's transcript. [edit] Rant, Rant, Rant

I feel so sorry for this girl, she's got the worst of luck. Even worse though is the media coverage, her parents should be ashamed of themselves with their sickening continual attempts to get in the media. I'm sick to death of picking up The Manly Daily especially to read that Sophie's taken a shit. The poor girl should be left alone to get on with her life.
