[edit] Autobiography and consensus

An anonymous editor included this unencyclopedic comment in the article text:

THIS PAGE HAS BEEN EDITED BY SOPHIA AND APPEARS THE WAY SHE WANTS IT. PLEASE STOP CHANGING IT AS YOU WOULD NOT WANT SOMEONE EDITING YOUR PERSONAL INFO. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, COMMENTS OR CONCERNS EMAIL HER AT LAMARWILLKILLYOU@HOTMAIL.COM

Quite plausibly, the anon is Sophia Lamar. Or maybe not. But in either event, new editors are adviced to read a bit more on Wikipedia editing. Nothing in the world is less relevant to the article than how its subject might want it to read. Rather, we follow WP:NPOV, WP:V and other WP guidelines for encyclopedia articles (which are not press releases). Lulu of the Lotus-Eaters 17:56, 7 November 2005 (UTC)

hahaha that is very sophia. Aroundthewayboy 04:33, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

Original version said that the lawsuit was settled after "it got all the way to the New York Supreme Court." In New York, the Supreme Court is the court of general jurisdiction at the lowest level, where cases are filed. The Court of Appeals, which is the highest NY appellate court, has no record of a case under Lamar's name. Furthermore, Lamar's complaint in the Supreme Court demanded $100,000, so I removed the assertion that she settled for $250,000 since it was not sourced and unlikely to be true. 128.103.14.29 18:53, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Ambiguity of birthdate

According to an anonymous editor, the year of Sophia's birth is unknown while the date is still known. That's odd. Anyway, "19..?" or similar variations are not a good way of expressing this. I will take out the year for now, if that would make people happier. --Alynna 05:33, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

Seriously people. Either leave out the year, or include it. Don't put it at 19..?, don't put it as [[]]. Make up your minds already. --Alynna 02:28, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
