Talk:Sonic Foundry

A reason as to why this company is noted for its poor business sense would be nice. -- Borb 01:04, 1 January 2006 (UTC)
That didn't make much sense. Why is it noted? I think you mean why do they (supposedly) have poor business sense? The Sonic Foundry product line was bought out entirely by Sony, a super-mega-conglomerate. After the transition support for former Sonic Foundry products virtually vanished (I have tried in vain to find again where I got a VideoFactory upgrade to v1 which I have legally purchased; after I upgrade I have to authorize the upgraded version, but it won't authorize. So I'm basically stuck with something I cannot use but which I fully legally own). That's big business that doesn't have any sense for customer support. It's pretty typical and nothing to be surprised at. - Alex Hall
