Hmm... I remember the reason for the Magellan's visit differently. Then again, I may just have been confused by the Short Story version...--Fangz 14:19, 5 Jun 2004 (UTC)
I recently finished the novel. That's why I took a look at this article. If you like I'll be happy to cite from the book to justify my changes.
