The article seems to be referring to the Anti-Christ although it isn't explicitly stated there. I don't see a reference to "Son of Iniquity" in the NIV or KJV of the Bible. There is a reference in an apocryphal gospel. It looks like the [www.apostlesbible.com Apostles' Bible] uses that phrase.

There appears to be a reference in a Catholic prayer but it seems to refer to the Devil. [1] "R- Nor the son of iniquity have power to hurt us."

St Augistine uses the term as well. [2]
