The DSC-P32 Cyber-shot is a digital camera manufactured by Sony. The camera offers a maximum resolution of 3.2 megapixels, and has a limited 1.6x digital zoom.

The DSC-P32 comes with rechargeable batteries, as well as a battery charger. The rechargeable batteries are NiMH AAs, however, the camera accepts ordinary alkaline AA batteries, too. An optional plug in adapter can be purchased to hook the camera up to AC power.
For storage, the camera uses Memory Stick technology. The camera comes with a 16mb stick - which holds about 18 pictures at maximum resolution. The camera can record brief video clips in addition to still photos. Image files are named DSCxxxx.JPG. The camera can be attached to a computer via a USB cable. Once attached to a computer, the camera appears as a USB storage device on the computer. Users can either open the drive and copy the files over manually, or they can install Sony software that will automatically transfer the photographs. By default, files transferred by the Sony program will be placed in folders named 'YY_MM_DD_xx (Year, Month, Day, Number of folders transferred during the day).
As mentioned earlier, the maximum resolution is 3.2 megapixels. The resolution can be changed to 2.8, 2.0, 1.2, and VGA resolution. The digital zoom only functions at or below 2.0 megapixels.

The camera also comes with the ability to take special effects photographs. Users can set the camera to take black and white, sepia, negative art, and solarized photos.
