M. A. "Sonny" Everett is an American aviator, author, broadcaster and announcer of airshows and special events.

Sonny began calling the action at airshows in the summer of 1963 at North Philadelphia Airport (PNE) when he was a teenager. From 1975 through 1990 he was one of the USA's foremost producers of airshow events, including the famous modern-day barnstorming troupe called "Air Show America", featuring stunt pilots in a two-hour choreographed program re-creating those of the 1920s–1930s. Sonny authored the coffee-table book Fliers, published in 1987, a photo-history of airshows from the barnstormer days through the late 1980s. He is often a guest on numerous TV and radio talk shows, and also serves as an expert commentator on aviation safety matters.

As a pilot Sonny has accrued more than 23,000 flying hours in over 60 types of aircraft, from gliders to homebuilt experimentals to cropdusters and widebody Boeing jetliners. He served on the ALPA Air Safety & Accident Investigation committee and also trained new-hire pilots with a major U.S. airline, recently retiring after a 29 year career. Sonny was among the first designated FAA Aviation Safety Counselors and conducted numerous seminars on airshow safety. Everett remains active in airshows, special events and matters effecting restoration of pilot pension benefits.

Sonny appeared several times on TV's Mike Douglas Show and was featured in a principal acting role in the films Cloud Dancer (1980) starring David Carradine and Moving Violations (1986) starring Sally Kellerman and Robert Conrad.

As of 2001, Sonny Everett resides in north central Florida and hobbies include composing music, photography and writing. {{DEFAULTSORT:Everett, Sonny]]
