Sonic Temple is the fourth album by the The Cult, released in 1989 (see 1989 in music). This album cemented the band's shift to hard rock from goth. The album was certified Platinum by the RIAA in 1993. Sonic Temple was the last album recorded with long time bassist Jamie Stewart.
