Songs of Grief and Solitude is the fifth album by the Ukrainian black metal band Drudkh, released in 2006 (see 2006 in music). It marks a radical departure from previous Drudkh works in that all songs are entirely acoustic, arranged in the manner of traditional Ukrainian folk. Several songs contain elements of previous Drudkh material: "Tears of Gods" contains elements of "Forests in Fire and Gold" from Forgotten Legends, "Archaic Dance" contains elements from "Glare of 1768" off of The Swan Road, "The Milky Way" is a rearranged version of The Swan Road's "Eternity," "Why the Sun Becomes Sad" contains elements of Autumn Aurora's "Sunwheel," and "The Cranes Will Never Return Here" contains a riff from Blood in Our Wells' "Solitude."
