"Song of Scatland" is the third single from Scatman John's debut album, Scatman's World. The song is a slow ballad about the imaginary Utopian kingdom of "Scatland", and is easily his most bizarre moment. The single version features a high-pitched children's choir singing the chorus, and bubbles on the cover with the faces of cherub-faced children.
Many fans felt it was an inappopriate single choice, which is perhaps why "Only You" was released in Japan instead with the same cover art. On the other hand, the B-side "Hey You!", was later remixed and released on his second album Everybody Jam! under the title "U-Turn" and is regarded by many fans as his finest moment.
