Song Cry was the fourth single from Jay-Z's album The Blueprint. The song is a slow and quite melodic rap ballad. In it the rapper laments the break-up of an earlier relationship due to his own neglect and infidelity. In the chorus he points to his music as the only outlet for his emotions: "I can't see'em coming down my eyes, so I gotta make the song cry".
The song contains sample of "Sounds Like a Love Song" by Bobby Glenn.
