[edit] unblock request

This blocked user (block log | autoblocks | unblock | contribs) asked to be unblocked, but an administrator or other user has reviewed and declined this request. Other administrators or users can also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy). This unblock request continues to be visible. Do not replace this message with another unblock request nor add another unblock request.

Request reason: "Why was I indefinitely blocked? All my posts are good faith with no policy violations! I don't even have a message or reason, and no one contacted/warned me. Was I blocked for asking a couple of pointed questions...? Please help, Sean Black who I have no interaction with blocked me for no legitimate reason!"

Decline reason: "Total legitimate reason: Trolling! Being a troll. Completely trolling in every way you can think of. Troll Central. Thanks, and good night. ЯEDVERS 15:47, 13 September 2006 (UTC)"

This template should be removed when the block has expired, or after 2 days in the case of blocks of 1 week or longer.
This user (IP address Someguy555) was blocked by Sean Black with the reason "Obvious troll".
  • Not so obvious. After seeing that this user posted comments that were not in agreement to those of some administrators, I had hoped he would not have been blocked for doing so. But it looks like he has. This is an entirely inappropriate method of dispelling disagreement. And if he was blocked for any reason having to do with his lack of contribs elsewhere, then that's not a good reason. Several users have second accounts that they use mostly for discussion of articles and policy, to having their mainspace edits being unduly scrutinized (read: stalked) by beligerent editors. Karwynn (talk) 12:21, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
Karwynn, I think you are wrong. Sorry. I looked through the contribs and I'd be astonished if this were not a sockpuppet; I'd file an RFCU but it would almost certainlty be rejected as blatantly obvious. As to their mainspace edits, they were restricted to linking Jason Fortuny's (broken) livejournal entry to an article. This is just one of the drama queens jerking us around.
