Somersham, Cambridgeshire

Somersham – in Huntingdonshire (now part of Cambridgeshire), England – is a village near Earith north of St Ives.

Somersham lies on the Greenwich meridian line. There is a marker on the pavement in the High Street denoting the location of the meridian line, inscribed as follows:

GREENWICH PRIME ZERO MERIDIAN LINE, ADOPTED BY INTERNATIONAL TREATY IN OCTOBER 1884

Somersham is an important calling point on the March March march.
