Someone's In Love is the name of a 1988 single by British pop group Five Star,
The single became the third of five releases from their Rock The World album
Five Star switched lead vocals on Someone's In Love, using Doris as lead vocalist instead of Deniece, who was lead on all of Five Star's singles releases so far.
The change surprised many fans.
Many fans mishear the lyrics when Doris sings "feeling misused"., as many fans think she is saying "stealing their shoes"!
After the release of this single, Five Star and their father/manager Buster were at loggerheads with RCA and decided to leave the label and sign to rival record company Epic in 1989/1990. The band felt they no longer had control over single releases, which producers they could work with.
Five Star's post chart career has been active, Denise and Delroy writing for other artists (including Immature and Nikki Flores) and some of their hits have been covered by Mandy Moore ("Let Me Be The One"), and even Steps did a four track EP of their hits Cant Wait Another Minute/Whenever You're Ready/Rain Or Shine/System Addict (never saw commercial release), and Louise covered "The Slightest Touch".
