It is a member of CAFthey took part in the african nations cup in nigeria in 1888 where they had a good spell finishing second in the group stages reaching the knockout phase they were beaten by cameroon 4-2 which knock them out of the competetion.during. take note that somalia have a player playing in england by the name of omar nasser currently at wealdstone fc youth team was an ex player for liberty proffesionals before going to england to play football he took part in the u13s,u14s youth championship held in south africa he is one to watch out for in the future i hope he does well playing for wealdstone and making it proffesional one day to make us this club proud.
