Somalia Green Party

The Somalia Green Party is the local Green Party of this East African state. It is a member of the Federation of Green Parties of Africa. The party is strongly enviornmentalist. It is very enthusiastic about stopping environmental degradation, most especially at home, including that caused by the nation's civil wars.

Desertification, drought, and erosion prevention are extremely important topics to the party since they directly correlate with livestock raising, which is a major subsistence industry for many Somalis.

The party is also strongly against charcoal since it damages the countryside. They actively seek the boycott and shunnning of coal users.
