From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sollia is a former municipality in Norway, formerly a part of both Oppland and Hedmark. From 1837 Sollia was a part of Ringebu formannskapsdistrikt in Kristians amt, but it became a discrete municipality with 386 inhabitants in 1864. In 1890 Sollia was moved to Hedemarkens amt.

On January 1, 1899 an uninhabited part of Ringebu was moved to Sollia. On January 1 1965 Sollia, then with 356 inhabitants, was merged and became a part of the municipality Stor-Elvdal.
