"Solitaire" is a popular song written by Neil Sedaka. It tells of a man losing touch with, and thus losing, his sweetheart. Alone, he's "playing solitaire".

Solitaire has been recorded by Sedaka, the Carpenters (a #17 hit in 1975), Andy Williams (a #4 hit in the United Kingdom in 1973), Jann Arden, Clay Aiken, and Sissel, among others.
