In 2000 Q magazine placed Solid Air at number 67 in its list of the 100 Greatest British Albums Ever.

  • 'Over The Hill', which sparked controversy on its release as it contains the phrase 'sweet cocaine'. This was then changed to 'dry champagne' in an effort to sell more copies.[citation needed]

A reissue of the album, with the additional track 'I'd Rather Be The Devil (Live)', was rated as the 67th best album of all time by Q magazine]], and also included in their list of Best Chill-Out Albums Of All Time.
