Solicitor General of Ontario

The Solicitor General of Ontario was in charge of the Ministry of the Solicitor General of Ontario is responsible for police and other law enforcement agencies in the province.
The Ministry delivers and administers a wide range of law enforcement services including:
- Ontario Provincial Police
- provincial corrections facilities
- Special Investigations Unit - an agency to probe incidents between police and the public
- enforcing the Police Services Act
As of 2005, the Solicitor General (or Minister of Public Safety and Security) of Ontario is the Honourable Monte Kwinter.
