SogoInvest is an online discount stock market brokerage firm that deals in whole and partial shares of stock and exchange-traded funds. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Genesis Securities LLC, the only order entry platform that is Platinum-Certified by NASDAQ. Dealing entirely on the Internet, trades are placed by the customer in either real time or as an automatic daily investment.

SogoInvest was launched in July 2006 by Genesis Securities CEO William Yeh.

SogoInvest offers the ability to purchase both shares and partial shares of a stock at a fixed price. This allows the investor to purchase stocks based directly on the amount of money they want to spend, and not just the actual cost of the stock. Other discount brokerages such as ShareBuilder offer similar services, the difference being that SogoInvest provides both real-time and automated trades at the same fee, while other companies only offer automated trades at the discount price.
The customer’s ability to purchase fractional shares further allows them to practice the investment management technique known as dollar cost averaging (DCA).
