Sofia Vassilieva (София Владимировна Васильева,Sofia Vladimirovna Vassilieva) (born October 22, 1992) is an American child actress. She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota at 2:22:22 pm CDT to Larissa Vassilieva and Vladimir Vassiliev, Russian scientists-immigrants.

At the age of 7, she was discovered at the International Modeling and Talent Association (IMTA) in New York where she won the title of Child Actress and first runner-up Child Model Of The Year 2000.

At the age of 9 she played Cindy Brady for The Brady Bunch in the White House(2002) opposite Shelley Long and Gary Cole, and a little girl Gina opposite Malcolm McDowell and The Bad Seed's former child actress Patty McCormack in Inhabited (2003).

At the age of 9 and 10 she played the children's book heroine Eloise, in two made-for-television movies Eloise at the Plaza and Eloise at Christmastime, with Julie Andrews as Nanny. Both films were directed by Kevin Lima.

Starting from the age of 11 Sofia’s roles include the part of Ariel DuBois in Medium(2005-??).

She was a presenter of Family Feature Film on the Humane Society's 19th Genesis Awards in 2005. Vassilieva was nominated in 2005 for a SyFy Portal Genre Award as best young actor/actress for her role in Medium (but lost the award to Harry Potter's Daniel Radcliffe). She won a Young Artist Award in 2006 for best supporting actress in a TV Drama for her role in Medium. Sofia recently completed filming Day Zero, with Elijah Wood, Chris Klein, Ginnifer Goodwin, Jon Bernthal, Ally Sheedy, and Elisabeth Moss.

Vassilieva is a polyglot - she fluently speaks Rusian, French, and English.

Recently, January ’07, she as Ariel Dubois, was asked to make the promotions of 3d season of Medium on French for French speaking countries and on Rusian for Russia.

By 14, Vassilieva has been taking ballet for 11, piano lessons for 6, gymnastic for 5, and horse riding for 4 years.

By the age of 14, she has already visited Italy and Vatican City , Austria, France (three times) , Canada (twice) , England, Japan, Spain, and Russia including Siberia ( both Eastern and Western) (three times). Before moving to Los Angeles at 11, Vassilieva has been living in Minnesota, Oregon, Arizona and Utah. She has a big black cat Cyril and a Maltese (dog) Mefodi, they were named after Saint Cyril and Saint Methodius from Thessaloniki- two Byzantine monk brothers usually credited for the Cyrillic alphabet. Sofia's Mefodi appears as the dog in the hands of a Plaza girl during the Eloise at Christmastime. Mefodi is related to Sugar - the Maltese (dog) of Dame Elizabeth Taylor.
