Sodiq Solihovich Safoyev (Russified form Sadyk Salihovich Safayev is also used) (born 1954?) was the foreign minister of Uzbekistan from March 2003 until February 4, 2005. Before being appointed the foreign minister he served as an ambassador of Uzbekistan in the United States from 1999 to 2001. He was also briefly foreign minister during 1993. Sadyk Safayev was considered to be one of the most effective ministers in Uzbekistan. Since February 2005 he has been chairman of the Interparliamentary Relations Committee of the Uzbek Senate.
