WP:WEB WP:CORP Very new non-notable organization, 11 hits in Google (2 self-referential, 9 in blogs). Suggest delete. --John Nagle 03:52, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

Yes it is a new organisation but it is 'officially' recognized by the T&T National football federation.Take a look at their website, they have over 1700 members. Also I will be modifying the page with more infomation and details in the near future. There is nothing that concerns fans of Trinidad and Tobago Football in Wikipedia.I thought doing this might be a good idea to spread the word of our historic qualification to the World Cup in Germany this year. Let me know what else needs to be changed. Thanks S.W.S.C 11:00, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

A necessary but perhaps not sufficient change would be to remove everything that smacks of advertising. -- Hoary 04:40, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

Agreed. This article doesn't need more information, it needs less but more encyclopedic information. — Saxifrage 09:38, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
I've made a rather large edit. I have:
  • removed the infobox (it's for the team itself so it's not relevant here)
  • copy edited the lead few sentences to say what it actually is
  • condensed all the "purpose", "aims", and other promotional-sounding stuff into a paragraph on what the club's activities are
  • removed unnecessary external links
  • added a category and a template calling for more categories (is there a football-fan-association category?)
  • wikified the remainder
What's left may or may not be notable enough to merit a Wikipedia article. However, my judgement of notability is liable to be handicapped by the fact that the notability, if any, is likely only in Trinidad and Tobago, and NPOV's instruction not to be America-centric applies. So, I advise erring on the side of inclusionism. — Saxifrage 10:11, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
I agree with Saxifrage. First trip to the World Cup makes everything football-related a huge deal in TT (and among Trinis outside of the country). As one of them, I can't judge the notability of this objectively, but I believe that it meets the standards of local notability. Guettarda 10:31, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
