Social rights in Islam refer to the rights of humans living as a society in accordance to Islam. Such can be seen in the five pillars of Islam where the rich donates to the poor as a charity (at least 2.5% of their wealth) and that both males and females have rights to education and work opportunities. Even smiling, and caring for the sick and elderly is considered as a charity in Islam and to be rewarded by God (since that children are expected to care for their parents when they grow old and weak).
