Social Sciences Citation Index ® (SSCI ® ) is a citation index product of Thomson Scientific. It was developed by the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) from Science Citation Index.

This citation database covers more than 1,700 of the world's leading journals of social sciences, and more than 50 disciplines. It is made available online through the Web of Science service. This database allows a researcher to identify which articles have been cited most frequently, and who has cited them.
