Socatel is the leading telecommunications service provider and Internet service provider in the Central African Republic. The word Socatel stands for SOciété CentrAfricaine de TElécommunications. 60% of its stock owned by the Central African government and 40% by France Câbles et Radio.

Socatel's subsidiaries include Caratel, a mobile phone service provider.
