SoapCity

A division of Sony Pictures Digital, SoapCity is the home to the official websites for daytime dramas such as Days of Our Lives, The Young and the Restless, As the World Turns, Guiding Light, and The Bold and the Beautiful.

It was planned to be the online component to a Sony-produced cable channel called SoapCity when announced in 1999, which would air same-day repeats and archives of these same shows. However the channel would never air after being beaten to the market by ABC/Disney's SoapNet, and because of distribution problems with Sony's Game Show Network.

SoapCity covers all daytime soap operas and provides in-depth storyline analysis, additional storyline material, exclusive photographs, and behind-the-scenes information.

SoapCity offered daily digital downloads of the past four weeks of Days of Our Lives, The Young and the Restless, and As the World Turns. The site also had available older episodes of Soap Operas including the first Days of Our Lives shows from 1965.

SoapCity.com is the first site to distribute day-and-date network television shows on the internet.
