So Cal Scorpions

The So Cal Scorpions play Women's American football and are in the American Conference of the Women's Professional Football League (WPFL).

In 2003 the So Cal Scorpions began their inaugural season in the city of Temecula, in Riverside County, as the first professional sports team in this city and county. They moved to the city of San Diego in 2004, where other professional sports teams are based. Women have travelled from Los Angeles and as far as Hawaii to play on this team, which receives local media coverage and is also covered by national sports enthusiasts.

The So Cal Scorpions' regular season record for 2006 was 6-2. The team is scheduled to host New England October 7, 2006 in their first playoff game.

So Cal beat the New England Intensity at Edwards Stadium on October 7, 2006 by a score of 30-0. The Scorpions will now head to Dallas, TX to face the Dallas Diamonds, the two-time WPFL champions, on October 21, 2006.
