Is anyone sure of which 'George Clinton' is referred to in the text?

From the dates it looks likely to be George Clinton (vice president) although the actual context suggests it could be George Clinton (royal governor) - although this is probably not right due to the dates. The link given goes to a disambiguation page, so really needs to b e corrected, but I am not confident in selecting the correct target. -- Worm 12:52, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

I have fixed the link to go to George Clinton (vice president) as that is the correct link.Marc29th 16:11, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
