[edit] Bruce Hornsby images

Hello! You recently have uploaded images using the Template:CopyrightedFreeUseProvidedThat, which is can be used by the original photographer to upload images to Wikipedia. I just want to make sure that you are the person who took these photographs. If you are, we need to go through a process to verify that this is true, at which time the tags would be changed to something along the lines of Template:CopyrightedFreeUse-User or template:GFDL-self. Let me know. Cheers! -- moe.RON Let's talk | done 21:36, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

Have a read through Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission, in particular follow the guidelines at Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission#When permission is confirmed. After the images are confirmed, everything will be fine. If they aren't within about a week or so, me or possibly someone else might look the pictures over again to check up on the status. -- moe.RON Let's talk | done 21:52, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
For an example of how I do album covers, see Image:GS-IGW.jpg; it is always nice to have the actual page location and actual image location in the summary for copyright purposes. Let me know if there is anything else. -- moe.RON Let's talk | done 22:31, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
Just follow Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission#When permission is confirmed. If you need help with tags, place {{help}} on this page and someone will be by to help you with the correct tagging (or point you in the right direction). -- moe.RON Let's talk | done 21:21, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
Typically the image owner should license the images, such as GFDL or a CC license. But, since you quoted him as saying "any reason"... I'd say {{PD-because|reason}} will work with explaining they release them for use for any reason, though you may want to verify with the owner. You could even tag the images, give the owner the link and make sure they are okay with it. Once OTRS gets the email and processes it, they'll add some info to the image about how to seek info regarding the email you forwarded to verify the license. Sounds like everything is working out. --MECUtalk 22:43, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
Looks good. I dunno how long OTRS takes, I've never used them before. But, give it a few weeks. If you get hassled about the license in the meanwhile, you can seek support from the OTRS folks more immediately in their IRC channel. But I think most people are too ignorant (not in a bad way) about OTRS that they won't know what to do. I wish the pictures were bigger, but, guess beggars can't be picky. --MECUtalk 23:32, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] You needed something?

Hello, Snidleysnide! What did you need help with? --Cremepuff222 (talk, sign book) 21:50, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

Should we talk here? or at your talk page? Snidleysnide 21:54, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

I'll leave you comments here, and you can add comments on my talk page. --Cremepuff222 (talk, sign book) 21:54, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

I tried looking around to answer your question, but I couldn't find anything. I also don't work with images and these sorta questions very often. You could try asking at the Help Desk, but otherwise, I'm not much of a help for you. Sorry! --Cremepuff222 (talk, sign book) 22:03, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

Aye. Good luck! --Cremepuff222 (talk, sign book) 22:11, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Sock puppet?

Do you understand that you've been accused of being a sock puppet of me? BoaTeeth 22:37, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

Reply is on your talk page. Snidleysnide 22:51, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
