Hello Sondre!

This is your talk page which means that all of the below comments are directed to you. You are supposed to answer them if needed. – Elisson • T • C • 16:56, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

Hi and welcome to wikipedia! Just one thing, though - if you find someone has changed an article that you just edited back to what was there before you edited, don't immediately rush in and edit it back. Go to the article's talk page and discuss it there instead - naming a source if you have it. If you follow that, you pretty much can't go wrong with WP Sam Vimes 23:04, 18 August 2005 (UTC)

Hello Sondre. Are you aware that the comments on this page are directed towards you? Please respond if you're reading this. --StuartBrady (Talk) 01:30, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] World Rally Championship

Thanks for your edits on the result pages, it envolves a lot of work with just one of us researching this and editing the pages. So thanks. Is there milage you think in a WRC WikiProject of a type of F1, obviously not as large. :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 09:16, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Swimming at the 1988 Summer Olympics

Why do you constantly replace Hungarian 1957-present flag in the article Swimming at the 1988 Summer Olympics with 1949-1956 one? The 1988 Olympics were held in 1988, not in the 1950s. Cmapm 12:24, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

Please stop doing that. Stalinist Hungary flag you are inserting have been in use in years 1949-1956 only. -- Darwinek 13:43, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Just assisting you on cleanup of different articles

Just wanted to let you know that I am in process of entering information of different Nordic skiing items. If you want to see how Jouko Karjalainen looks now compared to how it was, you see how much cleanup was needed for this. I do appreciate your effort, but I am trying to make it more readable. [edit] FIFA World Cup 1994

Hi. I'm not sure what convention you're using for swapping teams in the footballboxes. Or were you just following 85.165.205.236's edits? (I tend to go with whatever is on the match reports... but swapping them seems like a waste of time, as there are plenty of other things to be getting on with.) Cheers. —StuartBrady (Talk) 14:46, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

Just letting you know, you did actually break the score for one game. I was looking for any mistakes, and still missed it. Luckily someone else spotted it. --StuartBrady (Talk) 22:00, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
Hi again. Some of your recent edits to the article are not helpful. I've reverted them. --StuartBrady (Talk) 12:46, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
User SndrAndrss, please note that your repeated edits of the 1994 FIFA World Cup page may violate the WP:3RR rule. Please attempt to communicate with other editors in this matter, either here or on the article's talk page. -- DeLarge 13:55, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
I reiterate the above comment by DeLarge. Please use the talk page before making changes, as you are on the brink of of breaking the three revert rule. Oldelpaso 18:32, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Michael Gross

You have incorrectly moved the article on the German swimmer. Please see WP:UE: "If you are talking about a person, country, town, movie or book, use the most commonly used English version of the name for the article". This is an English Wikipedia. -- DeLarge 07:50, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

Stop moving this page without first discussing it with other editors on the talk page. If you are not willing to discuss it, these edits will be reverted every time. David D. (Talk) 07:24, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Colin McRae

I know he's British, but if we're going to use {{flagicons}}, please realise that he himself uses the flag of Scotland on the side of his car ~ see his Ford Focus and his Citroën Xsara. I'm happy to discuss this, but if you continue with your existing approach of ignoring all communications with fellow editors, then I'll revert. --DeLarge 22:30, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

As seen here, Richard Burns used the Union Flag of the United Kingdom on his car, not the St George's Cross of England. Please VERIFY your information before editing. --DeLarge 23:37, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Athletics at the 1984 Summer Olympics

[edit] Athletics_at_the_1996_Summer_Olympics

Please stop deleting the results from this table. Until you discuss these edits i will revert your efforts. If you really want to change it to a table format, and i think that would be good, make sure you incorporate the results too. At present your edits are doing more bad than good. In many cases boardering on vandalism. Please use the talk page before making major edits. David D. (Talk) 17:51, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Athletics_at_the_1992_Summer_Olympics

[edit] distruption

[edit] WP:3RR, Athletics at the 1992 Summer Olympics

User SndrAndrss, please note that your repeated edits of the Athletics at the 1992 Summer Olympics page may violate the WP:3RR rule. Please attempt to communicate with other editors in this matter, either here or on the article's talk page. --DeLarge 18:36, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

You are past the limit on 3RR. Stop reverting and start using the talk page. David D. (Talk) 20:32, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] More disruption

Your editing to wikipedia is caauing more harm than good. If you continue along these lines there will be a strong consensus to block you from editing here in the future. Many editors have assumed good faith with your edits but you continue to add factually incorrect information. For example: do not change the maiden name of athletes to their married name if they won the medal before they were married.

You made the following edit. Müller to Schersing but this is incorrect, here is a resource that you can use to confirm the data BEFORE making changes. Please be more careful when changing the names of athletes. If in doubt go and check the primary sources. David D. (Talk) 20:31, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Country codes

You made some errors in country codes. Perhaps you are confusing general country codes with IOC (International Olympic Committee) country codes. Please see Wikipedia:WikiProject Flag Template. (SEWilco 04:19, 28 August 2006 (UTC))

I also do not see your SFRY in Template:Country ISO code alias SFRY listed in ISO 3166-1 alpha-3. If no ISO code exists (or existed) do not define one. (SEWilco 03:01, 29 August 2006 (UTC))
The 3-letter ISO code for Yugoslavia was YUG. http://www.iso.org/iso/en/prods-services/iso3166ma/03updates-on-iso-3166/nlv8-cs.html (SEWilco 03:48, 29 August 2006 (UTC))
The 3-letter ISO code for the SFRY was YUG. http://www.davros.org/misc/iso3166.html (SEWilco 03:50, 29 August 2006 (UTC))
You should be using {{flagIOC}} for Olympic icons, so you can use the IOC country codes. Don't mess up the non-IOC sports with IOC abbreviations. (SEWilco 04:49, 29 August 2006 (UTC))
See List of IOC country codes. (SEWilco 03:59, 1 September 2006 (UTC))

Leave the abbreviations of country codes as they were created, with the ISO three letter country code. They are used for many purposes. Do not change them to match your favorite sport's abbreviations. (SEWilco 15:08, 2 September 2006 (UTC))

I've just noticed the damage you're doing to e.g. Template:Country label alias West Germany. Please stop. You are doing more harm than good at the moment. --StuartBrady (Talk) 16:47, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

If you need an alternate label for the flag template, try something like: {{flag|East Germany|name=GDR}} (SEWilco 20:21, 4 September 2006 (UTC))

[edit] 1974 FIFA World Cup

You also did some damage here. Please be more careful. --Guinnog 17:34, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Athletics at the 2000 Summer Olympics

What was your purpose in making the edit which made the UK flag bigger than any other? Please stop making this kind of edit. --Guinnog 16:26, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits are considered vandalism, and if you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Thank you. SEWilco 04:14, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

I'm disappointed you haven't answered either of my comments here. Consider this your final warning; any more vandalistic and disruptive edits (by which I mean, for example, making one flag bigger than all the others in a table) and I will block you. It isn't fair on other editors to have to spend their time checking up on edits and clearing up after you. If the edits I am talking about were honest mistakes, you may need to take more care, as I mentioned earlier. Use the preview function and seek the consensus of other editors before making any major changes to the format of articles, please. --Guinnog 09:29, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Flag of Belarus

Hello! Can you place a border around the Belarussian flag.

Sondre

[edit] F1 flags

Hi - thanks for your contributions to F1 articles. Unfortunately, the concensus for WP:F1 is that we go with the flags used at the podium ceremonies, which match the drivers racing licenses and therefore are all UK flags, not England, Wales etc. I've reverted your recent changes. Cheers anyway --4u1e 12:14, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] World Rally Championship results

Hello! Can you write up all World Rally Championship results from 1984 to 1991.

[edit] Template:Country flag alias England

Can you please keep on border on the England please see the Northern Ireland and Wales versions as a border around the flag looks more professional. Kingjamie 18:41, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Talk page usage

Sondre, this page is generally used for messages to you. The few people who might read it are those who left you messages, and it is often a good idea to reply. It is not very likely that anyone will read a new message where you are requesting someone do something. You might look for a WikiProject with a Talk page being used for such requests. If you look at Help you'll find information such as Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines. (SEWilco 16:54, 13 September 2006 (UTC))

[edit] Why...

...do you remove the <br>'s in relay athletics results and replace them with commas? It looks ugly. Punkmorten 12:13, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 1994 FIFA World Cup

Hello, may I ask you to stop editing the cities of stadiums in the article 1994 FIFA World Cup. The situation is explained at 1994 FIFA World Cup#Venues and Talk:1994 FIFA World Cup#Foxboro Stadium. Another thing is that after you make an edit, it is a good idea to hit the "Show Preview" button to see if your edit gives you the desired results, so that if your edit actually damages the page, then you can change your edit. Thanks! Chanheigeorge 18:08, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use

Sondre, you cannot add the photo on the book cover to the Yelena Isinbayeva article. I have had to revert you four times now. Please go and read WP:FU, it is very explicit that such photos can only be used on articles about the book itself. David D. (Talk) 04:56, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WRC event dates

Once again, I have to revert your changes. The correct information is already there, and you are changing it. The dates of these events have been checked against the information at the official site. The events whose dates you changed have night-time super specials.

LEAVE THE DATES ALONE. YOU HAVE THE WRONG INFORMATION.

--DeLarge 16:42, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] MedalCountry template

i noticed that you are editing many of the medals tables by adding the medalcountry template. Has there been some decision to add the Template:MedalCountry to all infobox style medals tables? They look terrible and it causes the tables to become bloated. The first line of every biography says which country each athlete represents. The only useful function for this template is to distinguish medals that have been won for different countries in the rare cases where they have represented different countries in their career. And why the flags? What function do they serve in this template, other than to look pretty or a distraction depending on ones opinion? David D. (Talk) 19:19, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] FIFA World Cup squad articles

Hi Sondre. Can you please stop editing the FIFA World Cup squad articles? You're leaving them in a damaged state. I'm not even sure that the flag of Hungary that you uploaded was the official flag from 1957-1989. The only thing I can find is a reference to "Kádár's Flag" from the site that you stole the image from. [edit] License tagging for Image:Maria Sharapova Swimsuit 2006 3.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Maria Sharapova Swimsuit 2006 3.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

In what sense did you create these images? Were you the photographer? If you've scanned and uploaded the image then you are not the creator nor do you own the copyright. Please, discuss your additions on the talk page to gain consensus for or against the addition of new parameters. One more revert from you and you break WP:3RR which will get you blocked, as well as you may be blocked for not answering the messages on your talk page. – Elisson TC 12:32, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
Why give him any latitude? This is an old dog, and communicating with other editors would be a new trick. 3RR violation reported, 12:58, November 12, 2006. Expect another enforced Wikibreak, Sondre. --DeLarge 13:01, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Colin McRae (AGAIN)

I KNOW he's British, but if we're going to use {{flagicons}}, please realise that HE HIMSELF USES THE SCOTTISH FLAG ON THE SIDE OF HIS CAR ~ see photos of his Ford Focus and his Citroën Xsara. --DeLarge 19:34, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Argentina and Hungary flags for Olympic templates

Hello. Based on previous comments on your talk page page, I am not sure that you will even read my comments, let alone reply to them, but I will try. Could you please supply a reference that says that Argentina did not use their standard state flag (with the sun in the center) for past Olympic Games? Here is a source that says they did: the official report of the 1924 Games (PDF file here, page 524) clearly shows a drawing of the Argentinian flag for their polo gold medal, and that picture shows the normal state flag with the sun. Why do you persist in changing this flag? Do you have a better source? What is it?

Similarly, why do you persist in changing the flag of Hungary for Olympic Games 1960 and later? The article Flag of Hungary clearly states that the tricolor only, with no coat of arms, emblem, etc. in the center, was the OFFICIAL flag of Hungary after 1957. Why do you contradict this source? Please supply a reference. Andrwsc 21:05, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 1982 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships

FYI. I just reverted your edit on the Men's 4 x 10km relay at the 1982 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships from last week for clarity reasons. Your edit made this event look less than clear. Please think about this before you do things like that. Chris 14:20, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Disruption

SndrAndrss, if you do another edit to the Template:Infobox Football club without first either discussing it on that template's talk page, or here, I will have to block you for disruption, given your previous edit history of that template as well as you not answering any messages posted here. – Elisson TC 17:06, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Template:EUN

Your recent edits to the EUN template have it displaying improperly on pages; I've reverted it to a clean version. I understand that the template needs to be edited to include a flag as do other similar templates, but as there are a number of pages that use the template, I think it needs to be in full working order before it is changed. Eron 15:23, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] One club man

Hi, I deleted Giuseppe Baresi from the list of one-man-club. He in fact also played for Modena at the end of his career. --Lanerossi 22:40, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Flag of Hungary, again

SndrAdrsss, please stop your edits to {{Country flag IOC alias HUN}}. They are wrong. Hungary has used a tricolor ONLY since 1957. Here are two indisputible sources for the Olympic Games:

  1. Official report from 1960 Olympics in Rome (online here), page 51. This is a photo of the Hungarian team marching in the Opening Ceremony. You can clearly see that the flag is a tricolor with NO coat of arms or anything else on the centre stripe.
  2. Official report from 1964 Olympics in Tokyo (online here), page 15. Also a photo from the Opening Ceremony, this time in color. Part of the flag is occluded, but it is still fairly clear that there is nothing in the centre white stripe of the flag.

I hope these sources are sufficient for you to stop contradicting the statements on Flag of Hungary with your own version. Andrwsc 01:10, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Team events in the 1984 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships

I just wanted to let you know I had to do a lot of edits to fix what you created regarding the 1984 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships. These were initially done in the 1985 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in an effort to avoid any confusion with the 1984 Winter Olympics when the FIS had changed their format from even years in between the Winter Olympics to every odd-numbered year beginning in 1985. As a result of your actions, I had to do a total of 28 edits (excluding this one) to fix what you did.

I ask you again whenever you do something to think about the consequences of your actions. I am already aware of your previous controversies given what has happened on your talk page. You are getting better, but if you have an issue, please bring it up either on the article's talk page or on the editor's talk page. Please discuss this if you would like. Chris 15:38, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Flag icons

SndrAndrss, what are you trying to change or fix? Flag icons are intended to use the bordered versions (where appropriate) for a reason! Why do you persist in changing them to non-bordered, and then usually back to bordered again a short time later? You have done this several times already -- what is your intention? These experiments are very disruptive - please stop! Andrwsc 19:14, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] {{Infobox Football club}}

You've made a mistake with the new parameters - you've used {{{mgrtitle}}} as the variable for both the manager's title and the assistant manager's title. I would correct it myself but you probably know more about it than I do so I'll leave it to you. Qwghlm 14:16, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

SndrAndrss, I'm not going to warn you any more. If you do another edit to the Template:Infobox Football club—be it today, tomorrow, or in a month—without first discussing it on that template's talk page (discussing includes getting feedback before making any changes), I will block you for disruption, given your previous edit history of that template as well as your inability to answer any messages posted here. You have once, and only once, shown that you would like to discuss the matter, here, and I suggested you gave reasons to add the parameters on the template talk page, which you did not. I repeat, consider this to be a final warning. I will not give you more slack. – Elisson • T • C • 16:24, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] {{Nordic skiing World Championships}}

Regarding the {{Nordic skiing World Championships}} template you did earlier today, please discuss any changes you plan on doing on the template discussion board before doing so. I reverted back to what you had because you missed a few items. Additionally there are some languages that have just the years on this only and I would prefer that considering the events are alreay listed on most of the items. Sometimes when you try to make things better, you actually make them worse. Please bear that in mind when you do things like this. I have seen from your user talkpage that you are making other users angry about what you have done and that you have already gone through a discussion and mediation with others as well. Please think about what you are doing before you go off and make more edits because you could end not being a user anymore. Chris 23:41, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Stop removing borders from national football team templates

Hi, SndrAndrss, please stop removing the borders from various national team templates, such as {{ESTf}} or {{CYPf}}. The border is there for a reason. – Elisson • T • C • 18:19, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Flagicons on World Rally Championship

Please, please, please stop replacing these flags. Don't you realise how difficult it would be for other editors if they can't simply put {{flagicon|Spain}} in their edits. Rallying is not a "national" sport -- drivers do not represent their countries during the WRC -- so I see no reason for specifying the civil flag. You have obtained absolutely no consensus for making these changes. --DeLarge 13:22, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] communication

Hello. I see you are again making edits that other users have asked you not to, without explaining yourself. As a collaborative project, communication between users is essential to Wikipedia. I am warning you that unless you start responding to other users comments in some meaningful way, your earlier block may have to be reinstated. Morwen - Talk 14:39, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

I would second that you need to communicate more on the talk page AND use the edit summary. While you make many good edits there is a high number of incorrect edits or half finished formatting. As such, every one of your edits has to be scrutinised since we don't know what type of edit to expect. If you discussed your edits then your ratio of correct to ill conceived edits would improve. AND people will be less frustrated with your editing. David D. (Talk) 15:56, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Country template icons broken

[edit] Nordic skiers of the Soviet Union and Russia

What are you doing regarding the nordic skiers for the Soviet Union and Russia during the Winter Olympics and the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships? SndrAndrss, regarding your chages to the template shown above, I reverted those changes again. If you want to make those changes, please discuss it either with me or on the template discussion. [edit] Alevtina Kolchina

I reverted this name back to its original because you had deleted the metadata listing in her article. This is used as much a possible in the biography. Please keep this information in when you make changes. The people on the Biography WikiProject don't appreciate it when you do things like that. Please bear that in mind that some things are set up the way they are. Also if you are going to make adjustments to it, then discuss it first before you go off half-cocked. That is very irritating to other Wikipedia users. Also, please make certain on your edit summaries that you list why you did what you did instead of people having to second guess you. It would make your life a lot easier here if you started doing this. Chris 20:43, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Template:Nordic skiing World Championships, Take 3

SndrAndrss, I reverted your template changes again back to what it was before you made adjustments. Please ask me if you want to do this. This is the third revert I have had to do on {{Nordic skiing World Championships}} in the last two months. Can you please replay to me and explain why you think the city locations need to be on there? In my opinion, I don't think they need to be on because the article links to them make it redundant to have the city name listed more than once in the same location. Please let me know. Chris 21:48, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Template: Nordic skiing World Championships Third party opinion

I just wanted to let you know that I have sent a message to User:Wizardman, a third opinion Wikipedian on our dispute regarding {{Nordic skiing World Championships}} earlier tonight. The reason I am doing this in an effort to avoid a potential edit war that I am afraid is beginning to get out of control. Thank you. Chris 02:53, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Third Opinion

Hey, I got said message, and while I'm assumign good faith in your version of the template, keep in mind that locations do't really add much to the template, as years suffice for this. Also, if you look at other templates, such as the Olympics (at Template:Olympic_Games), having just years for championships is generally accepted. I can see why you want locations added to it, but they're really not needed. If you disagree, let me know as opposed to reverting it.--Wizardman 03:02, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Edits to the template:Nordic skiing World Championships

[edit] Bordered flags for icon usage

SndrAndrss, why do you persist in altering the flag templates to remove the bordered version where available? These templates are used to render flags only 22 pixels wide, so the border is important for visual clarity. Full size renditions of the flags do not use the bordered versions, so there is no misrepresentation there. You insist on making changes to these templates without any talk page discussions, or without any reason identified in the edit summary. Why? What problem are you trying to solve? If you have figured out how to respond to your talk page, please do so here. Please explain your intentions. Your edits are highly disruptive, as many of those templates are high-usage. [edit] Nordic skiing World Championships, Take 5

Good evening SndrAndrss. I just wanted to let you know I revert the template back again. I can understand why you put the dynamic toolbar in there and included the name, but I did the revert to ensure that the medalists were in there. The procedure I was using was that of the Olympic Games which are listed by years only. Adding the names of the host cities does not create clarity, but clutter. I have asked User:Wizardman, who just recently became an administrator, for assistance on this because this is getting out of control. Please think about what you are doing on this ({{Nordic skiing World Championships}}). Chris 23:58, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Nordic skiing World Championships template

SndrAndrss, for the last time. Will you please explain to me why you want the {{Nordic skiing World Championships}} template? Will you also please explain why you ignored Wizardman's third opinion from last Saturday? Do you want to go to mediation on this in order to resolve this issue? I have already reverted your template twice in the last eighteen hours and I don't want to have to do it again before 23:51 UTC tonight before I get a 24 hour block for the 3-revert rule. Also, will you please write in your edit summaries about what you are doing? The Wikipedia users are not mind readers, and they find it extremely frustrating on not being able to understanding both what you did and why you did what you did. I have asked two other users as well for assistance (User:Andrwsc and User:Johan Elisson) on this as well. Some of your edits have been good, but please think about what you are doing when you edit. Chris 16:41, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Sondre, please stop

SndrAndrss, I am getting really tired of this. If you do another edit to the {{Nordic skiing World Championships}} template without first discussing that edit on that template's talk page (discussing includes getting feedback before making any changes), I will block you for disruption, given your previous edit history of that template, your inability to answer any messages posted here, and other incidents that have been recorded here or in your block log. I repeat, consider this to be a final warning. You promised me to start communicating with other editors a month ago, and I unblocked you hoping you would change. You haven't, it seems, and if you do not change your behaviour now, even longer blocks may be imposed on you to stop you from doing what you currently do. – Elisson • T • C • 17:42, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

Still no real reason given for the template change. I see no reason for adding the locations, so it's better for you just to not bother changing that one back. As said above, a block will certainly be in place if you do it again.--Wizardman 18:06, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
I can see reason for not adding the place names. The template is much harder to navigate with the names added. Templates should be minimalist otherwise they should not exist. Please Sondre, listen to others. David D. (Talk) 18:14, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Jari Isometsa edit

Hello SndrAndrss. I just reverted you Jari Isometsä edit because your redirect did not work. What you did with that article can be considered vandalism. Please I keep asking you to think about what you are doing on your edits and their consequences before you do them. Many editors' patience with you, myself included, are wearing thin. Also please include comments in your edit summaries. This would make your life much easier in the long run. You think I am sounding like a broken record, but there are many other editors who feel the same way. Chris 19:37, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Stop missorting—second request

I already warned you about this above, yet you continue to do so in edits such as this. Stop it now. 19:19, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

Perhaps you should repeat that he should not use accented characters in categories. His sort definition seems to be the same as the altered one other than use of an accented character. (SEWilco 19:53, 12 February 2007 (UTC))

[edit] Moves

Stop making undiscussed, unreferenced moves, too. See, e.g., the requested reversal of your move at Talk:Per-Eric Lindbergh. Go read Wikipedia:Naming conventions and some of its subpages.

Note also the specific provisions of Wikipedia:Naming conventions#Controversial names that:

  • "The current title of a page is not intended to imply that either the title name is preferred or the alternative name is discouraged in the text of articles. The article title should also not be used as a precedent for the naming of any other articles."

Gene Nygaard 21:52, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Stop

Sondre, stop. You know there is no consensus to add further parameters to the football infobox, so do not do so. – Elisson • T • C • 19:02, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Stop making undiscussed moves and ignoring complaints on your talk page

You have been repeatedly asked to stop making undiscussed moves. In addition to being undiscussed, most of them are completely unreferenced, and you apparently deliberately refuse to reply to all the people who try to discuss your continuing actions. You never respond to those complaints on here on your talk page, nor on the talk pages of the articles where the disputes occur. If it continues, I will certainly see if I can get someone to impose a more permanent block on you, since the previous short term blocks don't seem to have done any good at all. [edit] AfD nomination of Belaid Lacarne

An editor has nominated Belaid Lacarne, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Belaid Lacarne and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. SndrAndrss, thanks for replying. Could you please have a look at this:

The svg version has a border. So can we use the svg version? It is better for technical reasons. --Ligulem 19:06, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Edits to template:Country data England

Hello! again Ligulem. Is it okay for you that i'm changing the bordered file of the flag of England to png instead of svg. I'm wanting to change this because it's due to clarity reasons. SndrAndrss 18 February 2007 (UTC)

I responded at the section above. Why do you start a new section? You can add messages to existing sections. Also, please sign your messages by entering ~~~~ at the end of your message. This will automatically be replaced by the software with your name and a time stamp when you save your message. Look below the edit window: There you will find the text "Sign your name": click on the four "~~~~" to the right of that text. This will enter ~~~~ into your edit window. You can try it in your sandbox: User:SndrAndrss/sandbox. --Ligulem 19:23, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Template:Football Club infobox

Hello! Can you add this following parameters to the infobox football club, Chief executive and assistant manager. This i mean is important due to clarity reasons SndrAndrss 18 February 2007 19:43 (UTC)

Who are you talking to? There is no Chief executive and assistant manager. At least not one that would respond on your talk page. Also, if you would like to discuss a change to template:infobox football club, please leave a message at template talk:infobox football club. Editors interested in that infobox will have that on their watchlist and will notice messages you post there. --Ligulem 19:13, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
SndrAndrss, I've now blocked you for two weeks following your recent edits to that template (you know very well that there is a consensus to not add further parameters to it), as well as your inability to discuss your edits to various other templates. You disrupt Wikipedia by doing so, over and over again. – Elisson • T • C • 19:19, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Blocking for vandalism

Hello! Elisson. Can you please unblock me from Wikipedia. I'm promising to discuss with other users when it's necessary to do so. I will have more ability to talk with other users when i need to do so. I will promise to keep away from vandaling templates and any other things. SndrAndrss 18 February 2007 20:44 (UTC)

No, I won't do that. I've already unblocked you once before when you said you would discuss before making any "controversial" edits, but you didn't, and you haven't improved a bit since that time. I won't make the same mistake again. And to make sure there will be no misunderstandings, you have not been blocked for vandalism, you have been blocked for disruption. – Elisson • T • C • 20:32, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
Hello! Elisson. Can you please unblock me from Wikipedia once and for all. I would discuss changes with other users when it would be a reason for that. I don't want to disrupt the system anymore.
SndrAndrss 18 February 2007 21:35 (UTC)

You haven't proved that you are willing to improve at all. How can I trust you when you have lied before? How can I trust you when you haven't followed any of the advice that a lot of users have given to you? You don't provide edit summaries, you don't sign your posts with ~~~~, you post your messages in new sections when it is not needed, and you don't explain your actions even after people demand you to do so. All of those are things you have been told to do, and yet you haven't. Tell me one good reason that I should trust you now. – Elisson • T • C • 20:51, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

Hello! Elisson. Can you please unblock me from Wikipedia once and for all. I really mean it this time. I'm willing to communicate to other users when it's necessary for that.
SndrAndrss 18 February 2007 22:20 (UTC)
If you really want to improve, then answer this message without adding a new section (just click the [edit] link on the side of the section header), add an edit summary in the edit summary field (something like "reply to Elisson"), and sign your post by adding four tildes after it (~~~~). I hope you do understand that if I unblock you now, and you continue to do what you've done before, your next block will be longer, and I will promptly refuse to unblock you no matter what you say. – Elisson • T • C • 21:27, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Blocking for disruption

Hello! Elisson. Can you please unblock me from wikipedia once and for all. This time i am really wanting to make up for my self. And every time there will be comment directed towards me i will answer them. 391098 21:35, 18 February 2007 (UTC) SndrAndrss 18 February 2007 22:35 (UTC)

(1) Learn how to use talk pages (2) You could start by answering some of my questions and in sections already present, using a signature (3) I fully endorse this block and I see no evidence of reform. --Ligulem 00:21, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Bordered or not?

SndrAndrss, could you please explain why you change some flag templates to use a bordered flag image and some from bordered to non-bordered? This doesn't make any sense to me. --Ligulem 00:16, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Edits to the flag templates

Hello! Ligulem. I will explain you why i'm changed the flag templates to border on non-border. The template on the flag of israel for instance i ment that the border on that particular flag template that's much nicer due to technical reasons. I didn't mean seriously to change the finland flag template because you've done it right from before. Can you unblock me from Wikipedia once and for all. This time i really mean it because i'm feeling sad about the disrupting of the system on this page. 391098 13:46, 19 February 2007 (UTC) SndrAndrss 19 February 2007 14:44 (UTC)

[edit] Greek names

Now is the time for you to stop moving Greek athlete articles to names with diacritics, and inserting diacritics in articles. You do this with no explanation, even when others provide a sensible coutner-argument (i.e. "unilateral move, and also diacritics are hardly ever used in titles of Greek articles", which is true). Before you take further actions, discuss the issue at Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (Greek)#Greek characters with diacritics. Punkmorten 09:34, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unblocking

Hello! Oldelpaso.

This blocked user (block log | autoblocks | unblock | contribs) asked to be unblocked, but an administrator or other user has reviewed and declined this request. Other administrators or users can also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy). This unblock request continues to be visible. Do not replace this message with another unblock request nor add another unblock request.

Request reason: "Can you please me from wikipedia once and for all this time i really mean business. I'm sorry that i'm using sockpuppets i don't want to be doing that similar thing again. I don't want to disrupt the system here once again. SndrAndrss 24 February 2007 10:25 (UTC)"

Decline reason: "You have not shown that you really want to improve, and the use of sockpuppets strengthens that view. – Elisson • T • C • 11:35, 24 February 2007 (UTC)"

This template should be removed when the block has expired, or after 2 days in the case of blocks of 1 week or longer.
I am not an administrator, so I cannot block or unblock. An administrator will review your request shortly. Oldelpaso 09:38, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Sandefjord_fotball.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:Sandefjord_fotball.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. — Rebelguys2 talk 19:35, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Extending block

SndrAndrss, due to your use of sockpuppets to evade your block, as confirmed here, I've reset your block to 2 weeks from today. If you want to stop disrupting Wikipedia, then stop creating sockpuppets and stop editing anonymously (you will be discovered), and wait for your block to end. – Elisson • T • C • 21:49, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

I've extended your block once again as you have evaded it by editing anonymously. Stop now or you may get blocked for a much longer time. – Elisson • T • C • 00:26, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Vassilij Rotsjev

What was the point in moving the article about the russian skier to Vassilij Rotsjev? This happens to be the correct Norwegian transcription of the athlete's Russian name, but is certainly wrong in English. If the move was made to avoid confusion with his son (who carries the same name), there are other ways to get around this, which I'm sure you're aware of. Best regards 85.164.41.52 11:39, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Transcription from Russian

I have noticed that you have changed lots of names of Russian skiers into the Norwegian transcription, which is totally out of place here (e.g. Yuri Skobov -> Jurij Skobov). This creates lots of extra work. Guaca 12:03, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

I think, their point was that FIS uses such transcription. Due to this, I didn't oppose to their changes, although I should prefer common transcription of Russian names, i. e. Yuri Skobov in this case. Cmapm 13:45, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Block extension

You are now blocked for a month. Stop attempting to evade your block by creating new sockpuppets like SndrAndrss10. IrishGuy talk 20:20, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Community ban

By community consensus as established on the community noticeboard, you are banned from editing Wikipedia. This means that you are not permitted to edit Wikipedia either anonymously or through any user account. You may appeal this ban to the Arbitration Committee; see here for details. Sandstein 22:52, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Community ban

Hello! Sandstein. Can your page unblock me from wikipedia permanently. I'm so sorry that i've breaked your rules so many times. I know now what i should do discuss with other users when it is a reason for it. I know that it isn't allowed to use sockpuppets to evade a block.

SndrAndrss 27 March 2007 16.10 (UTC)

I cannot unban you; only the community or ArbCom can. You may appeal to either. What do you choose? Also, in my opinion, your appeal has very little chance of succeeding, except if you make it clear that you know what you have done wrong, and if you explain in what way you intend to contribute productively to Wikipedia. Sandstein 20:00, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

Hello! Sandstein. Can you unblock me from wikipedia. I know what i have done wrong i has changed the user name many times. The way i intend to contribute productively to your site is that i will discuss with other users when they're commenting to me. I don't want to appeal to either of the sites you have listed up the reason for that is because i am blocked from commenting to these communities. Sondre 28 March 2007 14:46 (CEST)

You have said that you would start communicating with others before, but you didn't. Why should we trust you this time? – Elisson • T • C • 14:15, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

Hello! Elisson. You should trust me this time because i'm sorry that i've hurt so many times. And first of all i will do what i'm supposed to do. Sondre 28 March 2007 15:27 (CEST)

Then please start improving your behaviour by not creating a new section each time you reply to something, and start using edit summaries (even at talk pages like this). – Elisson • T • C • 14:31, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

If you do not want to appeal to the community or ArbCom, you will stay blocked. See the link in the prior section on how to appeal your block. Sandstein 19:33, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
