Smooth Network

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Smooth radio is a brand of radio stations in the United Kingdom owned by GMG Radio. The managing director of the brand is Roy Bennett.

The name of stations were Smooth FM until March 26th 2007. The format of Soul and Jazz was changed to music that was once described as "middle of the road."

Following owners Guardian Media Groups' acquisition of the three current Saga stations they decided to change the name of them, along with the North West England and London versions of Smooth FM, to simply Smooth Radio.

A North East station will join the network soon.
