English: The kitchen of the "Althuus" (meaning "old house") on the Jerisberghof in Gurbrü near Kerzers, Canton of Berne, Switzerland. The Althuus was built in 1703 and used until 1836. The rectangular hole visible on the right was constructed somewhen in the early 19th century to fire the tiled stove installed at that time in the living room on the other side of the wall.
