SMK Datin Onn Jaafar

Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Datin Onn Jaafar (SMKDOJ) or better known as DOJ or Pesta by most of the residents here was established in the early 1977.The first schooling session started on the 1st January 1978.

It is located on __ in Batu Pahat in a land area of 10 acre.This school started its project in the early years of 1977 and was completed in the same year.

Previously,this school was named as Sekolah Rendah Bandar Penggaram.Then the name was changed to Sekolah Menengah Datin Halimah in commemoration of the wife of former Malaysia's Prime Minister,Dato Onn Jaafar.However,this was disagree by his wife and was later on changed to Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Datin Onn Jaafar which still exists today.

SMK Datin Onn Jaafar was officiated by former Malaysia's prime minister,Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohammad which at that time is the Minister of Ministry of Education in 1st September 1977.
