SMILE is the ninth original album by the band L'Arc~en~Ciel. After pursuing solo projects for over a year, the members of L'Arc~en~Ciel reunited and released this album. A few months after the Japanese release, it was released in the United States on June 26, 2004 by Tofu Records. Tofu Records created some more American-friendly names for some of the tracks, which are noted beside the original Japanese names.
