One day, I was browsing Wikipedia for articles about WWE Wrestlers. Although the people I was looking for were there, it was a pain to go through a variety of different avenues to reach a particular wrestler. So, I decided to do something about that. Over the past year, I've become an avid fan of Wikis. My favorites being Memory Alpha (Yes, I'm a Star Trek fan) and TVIV. Having seen the success of these sites, and knowing the wealth of information in the world of professional wrestling, I figured a Professional Wrestling Wiki should be developed. Thus, the creation of SMASH MANIA! Now I'm not against Wikipedia or anything, I am in full support of a Free Encyclopedia. However, throwing too much information in one immense pile seems to have diluted the "awesomeness" of professional wrestling. So why not make a site completely dedicated to the topic???
