Tommy, Can You Hear Me? | Smash the Mirror | Sensation |
"Smash the Mirror" is a song written by Pete Townshend of The Who. It appears as the seventeenth track on the group's first rock opera, Tommy (1969). After the events in Tommy, Can You Hear Me?, Tommy is still captivated by the mirror. Eventually, his frusturated mother smashes the mirror (The mirror can clearly be heard being broken in the song). The breaking of the mirror cures Tommy which leads into the song "Sensation"
