Description

Small face value notes issued by the Bank of Japan in (images 1 & 2) and post (3 & 4) WWII era. Issued mainly because of shortage of metals to create coins. 1: 5 sen, Kusunoki-Masashige statue (1944). 2: 10 sen, Hakko-Ichiu pagota (1944). 3: Series"A" 5 sen, Japanese plum - Ume (1948). 4: Series"A" 10 sen, pegion (1947). All invalidated in 1953 by law. One sen is 1/100 Yen.
