This is a proposal aimed at resolving the dispute that led to Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Rangerdude and Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Willmcw and SlimVirgin.
My suggestion is a simple one:
- We assume good faith of one other, no matter how hard it is. We never assume the worst, no matter how tempting.
- We don't mention the past again. No diffs, no claims, no counterclaims. November 7, 2005 is the first day of year zero.
- We do our best to stay away from each other in articles and on talk pages. If we do meet up, we remain civil and we try to see things from each other's point of view. If we find we can't do that, we leave and edit elsewhere. We each respect that the others may have areas of editing they particularly enjoy, and we agree to take steps not to ruin their experience of Wikipedia for them.
- We don't make negative comments about each other on talk pages or by e-mail. We don't encourage other people to engage in disputes with us.
- If one of us says that we feel we're being wikistalked or harassed by any of the others, we will each respond with sensitivity to that perception, even if it isn't correct, and we'll take steps to make sure that whatever caused the perception stops.
