[edit] Notable for Open source software?

I don't really consider a company notable for its open-source software just because it has some. I would say that it would be notable if its software were widely used or known, or the company had some other merit beyond just that. Is this company known for anything? --mdd4696 16:37, 26 November 2005 (UTC)

I don't know. They make music gadgets. They license their software under the GPL. I'm not saying the company is particularly notable, just that in as so far as is it notable, its open distribution is one thing for which it's noted. See Digital audio startup finds edge in open-source code from the EE Times.

[edit] Notable for "audiophile" stance

Hi, I'm not really an expert on the company or its products but it seems to me looking at their marketing that they are trying to be notable for a focus on music quality and offering digital audio streaming solutions for people who might consider themselves "audiophiles".

They suggest that the quality of components used and design are aimed to deliver a better than cd player solution to people looking for a wireless media playing product.

Maybe an expert could check and confirm if this is true?

Thanks, Fonoq35
