[edit] Elevation - spurious accuracy?

The height given in feet seems to have been varying rather rapidly in the last couple of days. The imperial equivalent of the 850 m quoted in the article would be 2789 feet. However, the height shown on Multimap 1:100000 is 852 m (which would be 2795 feet) and when you zoom in to 1:25000 853 m (2799 feet).

In view of the uncertainty, I suggest we run with 850 m (2800 feet). --Cavrdg 12:18, 17 May 2006 (UTC)

It says on the Ordnance Survey of Northern Ireland the height was measured in 2004 at 849.14 metres which is 2786 feet.62.252.148.32 00:43, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

Here's my 5 cents - height from irish scientist is 2,796 feet (http://www.irishscientist.ie/2004/contents.asp?contentxml=04isp45b.xml&contentxsl=is04pages.xsl) although, I think the Ordance survey map is the probobly the way to go for the height as it seems to be the most official. --Marksie531 11:35, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
