Slithereens is a video game for Mac OS by Ambrosia Software. In the game the player assumes the role of a surgically altered snake in an experiment. The snakes have been turned into cannibals and the only way to survive is to eat the other snake before it eats the player. Eating a section of another snake, an egg or an animal will give that snake an extra section. Eating the head or section behind it will kill the snake instantly. When 2 snakes meet head to head the longer snake will kill the smaller one. Unlike Snake, they player may reverse themselves over their own body and collisions are not fatal.
